Connecting the Dots

I hear so many stories of black lives lost, cop shootings, hate crimes, black on black, whites vs. blacks, and i just have this to say. How can we as african americans, the black community ask for justice for a white man killing a black man when we allow so many killings to take place in our own african american communities? So many times you hear and see live videos all across social media networks and live news broadcasts filled with videos of a black man shooting and killing another black man, and most of the time we either know the shooter or the victim, but we won’t unify and stand together and say enough is enough in our own neighborhoods. In order to make our people strong enough and make a statement to the white supremacist or any other racial profiling groups or individuals to say we won’t tolerate innocents being killed anywhere, we must first bring an end to the senseless murders in our own communities. It is insane. If we want God to give justice where justice is due, then start turning the murderers in your own neighborhoods in and stop putting up with it. All these bad behaviors are coming from some of our very own family members, but instead of confronting this evil we tolerate it. Well, not me. And we need to say not us. And not our community. There is not enough people standing up in there communities, and they are wondering why in those areas crime is high. We cannot rely on the government to parent our children. Parents must parent their sons and daughters the right way or you get exactly what we have a world of demonized wasteful minds and cold hearts. We must ask God what is going on and ask him for truth in a matter before assuming we know because someone posted a video or a picture. Yes, the young man was killed in cold blood and he may fit the skin tone of most who are, but what about the constant same skin tone killings we see in our own neighborhoods or underprivileged areas where it is just happening and nothing is being done about it. It is not because police are not doing enough; the people didn’t stand up enough, the parents didn’t parent enough, the church didn’t rise enough. We are each others keeper before it reaches the justice system; however the law is for the lawless. We have failed each other when we don’t do what we are suppose to do. A lot of people would like to blame rappers and artist and the president for allowing guns, but if you train up a child in the way that he should go, he will not depart from it. That’s biblical- Proverbs 22:6. Some of us think these trying times we are facing are from some natural source, and maybe, but there is a God- Jesus who oversees earth. If we’re not pleased, then we can assume neither is He. If you do not teach your child the truth then he or she will fall for anything. How can anyone teach a child the truth unless he himself knows the truth.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
